Letter From Summer Camp

Dear Mom and Dad.
I am having a great time at Camp Malaria. There are lots of exciting things to do and see here. I never knew summer camp would be so fun. We all got to go on a scavenger hunt. When we were in the wood shop. Mr. Henderson  got his finger too close to the saw blade, and his finger went flying off. We all scattered to see if we could find it. Bobby was the lucky one to get to it. After the ambulance people got the saw dust off of it, and stopped Mr. Henderson?s blood from gushing out, they rushed Mr. Henderson and his finger to the hospital. He came back with a big bandage and his whole hand wrapped up like paper mache.
We got to go swimming in the lake. We aren't supposed to since the toxic waste got spilled into it, but we couldn't help it when our boat hit a rock and got a hole in it. so we had to swim back to shore. How long does nuclear radiation poison last?
Jonny is a good shot with a bow and arrow. Timmy didn't listen when he was told not to go after his arrows that he shot over the target, he didn't get back in time, and we forgot he went to look for the arrows so when Jonny missed his target we heard some one scream. then the counselors found Timmy on the ground with an arrow in his leg. It's hard to hit a moving target, but Jonny got one. Timmy  got to go to the same hospital as Mr. Henderson. I think there is only one around here, but it sure keeps busy with this camp here.
I hope you didn't see the news about the mud slide. It rained so much last week that the side of the mountain just came down , don't worry about me though, it missed my cabin by a few feet. But Eugene said that he had a swell time when it whooshed him down to the lake.
They tell us not to leave food out at night because of the bears. But in cabin 42 some one left food out, and the bears came and nearly scared the girls to death. I think the ambulance people had to come again and took one of the girls, but they didn't tell me what the bear did to her. I think they are talking about setting up a hospital here so they don't have to drive so far.
Our hike up the mountain was uneventful. Except when Todd was running too fast on the way down  and couldn't stop to turn the corner. He only fell 20 feet off the cliff into some briers and poison ivy. The ambulance people had to come again.  He says he likes it in the medical tent with the cute nurse. But I don't know how long he'll be in there.
What is liability insurance? The camp director said he needs more.
Don't worry about me mom. I'll be o.k. as soon as I get over my rash. The nurse says it will only last a few days. I didn't know I was allergic to wasp stings. But at least I didn't get bit by the black widow in our cabin like Mike did, he almost stopped breathing, but the ambulance people came again and took him away to be with Timmy. They probably are having a great time there. I heard you get all the ice cream you can eat there. No wonder why every one is getting to go there.
Well it's time for me to mail this. The mail lady should be here in a few minutes. She only has one leg, so she can't do all that walking, they let her drive a truck. She said she used to come here as a kid until she had the "accident".  Gotta go.
             Love   Jimmy
