Trash in the streets
Taxi rides from hell
Food that can kill you
And the "HUEVO" yell
Water that will make you sick
Barking dogs that you love to kick
Ferrias up and down the streets
Putrid, smelly, rancid meat

Where is it??
Down in Uruguay - oh I'm in Uruguay
Uruguay- oh I'm in Uruguay

When for American food you would kill
And the "Nuevo Peso" is worth nil
Bus rides that make you scream
Where they pack you in like sardines

People smile but they don't have teeth
All due to the sugar in their máte
Where hot is hot, and cold is colder
Burning trash fires
Where the coals forever smolder
Now if you think Uruguay is a wonderful place
I got one thing to say to you.....
Get out of my face!!!!

It's the loving hearts of those I know down in Uruguay
Some of the purest hears god could give
And down in Uruguay, is where they live
Most have nothing, but the spirit of love
For a missionary far from home
