The Question

He stands there amidst the crowd
Looking all about
Then he sees her standing afar

He looks in awe at her majesty
Though she has no crown
But to him she is a queen

And the music plays loudly
He seems not to notice
For her melodic voice has his ear

He thinks to himself- I will go ask her
I can't.. But Why?
Maybe she will say no

At least I must try
I will, even if it means defeat
I will do it

So he seems to walk the short distance
To him it seems an eternity
His heart pulsating with nervousness

Finally reaching his destination
So close to the one he admires
He looks at her, she looks at him

And in a voice of shear admiration
He asks "Would you like to dance?"
She responds "Yes"
