The Man

When you're in the depths of pain
And there is nothing you can do
And you have stayed in bed for ten years
And others have to take care of you
You wish you could run and jump and play
But you can't get out of bed
But you have to stay in a stuffy room all day
And when you sit up it hurts your head

Then comes a man
After years of pain and grief
You ask him to help if he can
To give you some relief
He touches your tired and sick body
And you feel a tingling through and through
You ask "Who can this be?"
With your faith and hope renewed
What power on earth can relieve this pain?
Just by the touch of a hand
After years of doctors and medication
You're healed by just one man

As your muscles receive their strength
And you start to stand up After all this time
He helps you u? So you don't fall
He is gracious, gentle and kind
Then you embrace him with arms full of love
And ask who can relieve this strife
Then you look into his compassionate eyes
And he says "I'm your older brother, Jesus Christ"

"Because of your faith you were healed
And because you believed, I came
And all things are possible
If you believe in my name"

And with this he turned and walked away
And you are grateful for him,
Who gave you a new life,
And forever you rejoice on his name
The Son of God, your Savior,
And Redeemer Jesus Christ
