LOVE

What is love? Can words even explain?
The words "I love you" what do they really mean?
Is it just something a mother says to her child
When she holds them in her arms?
Or is it the reason why a father
Wants to keep his family from harm?
Or the feelings of a brother for his sister
Because of their special bond
Or the ultimate expression of emotion
Of a husband to his wife as they live together as one?
Or a boyfriend for his girlfriend
As they experiment in the use of emotion?
And they use the compassion god has given
And try to tell one another with words unspoken
The words a friend can say to a friend
When they share special moments together
For a true friendship will never end
But will continue and grow forever

In all times and places
It's the force that you feel
To help you through this life
And gives you energy and zeal
It gives you the self worth
You need when your feeling down
When your mind's full of confusion,
There's no better remedy found
Does anyone really know how much it helps
When a person knows they're loved?
What other force can do all this?
Just to know you're being thought of?
So no matter who it is that you may love
Or in which manner it may be
To feel a true unconditional love
Is what every body needs
So when you want to tell some one special something
And mean it from the bottom of your heart
Just try the three words "I love you"
Then watch a miracle start
For the force of the feeling behind the words
Of this simple phrase
When you say it with the power of truth
Is the thing that lasts through all days.
